Strategy & innovation consulting

I work with organizations and creative professionals on music-business strategy, innovation, AI workflows and research. Each engagement begins with a defined decision and an agreed scope, connecting practical music-making with teaching, scholarship and business strategy.

Innovation working session

Define a testable initiative, the evidence it needs, success criteria and a review point. Scope and deliverables are agreed before work begins.

Choose the engagement that fits the question

Advisory session

A focused conversation about a specific decision. We examine the context, consider the options, and identify practical next steps. Appointment length and any fee are stated in the booking details.

Music-business strategy

A scoped engagement around a release, artist-development plan, business model, or rights-and-revenue workflow. Potential deliverables include a strategy brief, a release roadmap, or an action plan matched to the project and its resources.

AI workflow assessment

A review of a real process before choosing a tool. We identify the information needed, the decisions that require human review, and how to evaluate a proposed solution. A prototype or implementation phase is scoped separately.

Research and team learning

Research planning, evidence reviews, and workshops that help a team understand a question and act on what it learns. The scope may include a research brief, evaluation framework, or tailored learning session.

How we begin

Describe the decision, the current situation, and what a useful result would look like. A written scope establishes deliverables, responsibilities, access requirements, timing, and fees before project work begins.

Experience behind the work

My background includes a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies with a business-strategy concentration, music-industry teaching at USC Thornton, and completed postgraduate training in artificial intelligence and machine learning through the University of Texas at Austin. My creative work and research keep the business problem connected to the people affected by it.
